The Million dollar Leg Project www.milliondollarleg.co.nz is a concept created to raise funds to promote and develop my new website for New Zealand artists and photographers called www.ArtKlick.co.nz.
I aim to sell “advertising space” on both my legs (to above the knee) in the form of a tattoo at $500/cm.
With 2,000 square cm’s on both legs I have enough room for $1,000,000 worth of “advertising”.
The idea was inspired by www.milliondollarhomepage.com who sold 1 million pixels at $1 each.
However I will tattoo a mural of artwork from the members of Art Klick on my leg and pay any member who’s artwork I use $1,000, and also buy their artwork.
I will get two full leg tattoos of New Zealand art created by members of ArtKlick – For example I really like Kim Loasby’s painting “The Orange Bangle” and I love Leonardus Aarts style and Cathleen Tarawhiti and Robyn Carter’s photography, and of course some robots for good measure.
I think we could put together a pretty cool tattoo of New Zealand art and raise some money for a good cause. The idea was kind of inspired by the Million Dollar Homepage but with a tattooed leg instead – and artwork instead of logos!

1. Pay off Bills/loans
2. Develop Art Klick into a website of international standardds

5. Donate $50,000 to charity (chosen by the Art Klick Community),
6. Give another $1,000 to the members of Art Klick whose artwork I use for the tattoo
7. Start my next two website ideas……
